Geometry Dash Wave is one of the most difficult and purely skill-based game modes in Geometry Dash. It appeared in update 1.9 and quickly became a major challenge for both new and experienced players.

What is Wave?

In Wave mode, your character no longer jumps normally but moves in a zigzag pattern. Holding down the screen (or mouse/keyboard) makes the Wave go up; releasing it makes it go down.

This creates a continuous, extremely sensitive movement — a slight deviation will cause you to collide with an obstacle.

Controls
Hold: Wave flies up at a diagonal angle
Release: Wave falls down at a diagonal angle
No "step-by-step jumping" → everything depends on hand rhythm and reflexes

 Why is Wave difficult?

Extremely high precision
Tight spaces require near-perfect pixel-by-pixel control.
Fast speed
At high speeds, you must react almost instantly.
No inertia, easy to control
Waves change direction instantly → easy to over-control.
Complex design level
Many Demon levels use Wave with:
mini wave (smaller size)
dual wave (2 waves simultaneously)
spam click (repeated clicking)
